<--- This is her :) Erica and I met down in Cedar City before I even started school. We became quick and dear friends, I don't even know how. I tell everybody that she is the yin to my yang because we are so opposite, but our friendship just works! I'm so grateful to have such a good friend who can tell me exactly how it is but still care for me so deeply. It means so much to me. |
I was missing her terribly.
So I decided it was about time I go visit her in good ole Ft Duchesne!
And what a trip!!
We saw mountains, trees, "moose", lakes, indians, yummy food, cute boys, drive in movies, and friends.
It was just what I needed.
And because I love pictures SO much, here is the story of my trip in pictures.
But seriously, what a beautiful place.
I now see why they call this land, "God's Country"

What a wonderful time I had!
If you ever have the chance to head over to North Eastern Utah... DO IT!
P.S. Sending a big shout out to Erica for letting me crash at her place, being my personal tour guide, and putting up with me. Her blog is over here. You should read it, because she is funny.
- Drive In Movie - I saw my first "real" drive in movie. There were piles of dirt, yummy popcorn and an old fashioned screen. Erica and I had the most perfect seats there. We put the seats in her car down, stuffed the back with pillows and blankets. We were nice and warm! I wanted to sleep there all night it was so comfortable. We watched Blended (my new favorite movie) and Edge of Tomorrow (Tom Cruise was the best part, couldn't stop looking at his beautiful face).
- Frontier Grille - I was sad that Marion's was closed, so we couldn't eat there. Instead we went to the frontier grille to eat navajo tacos. They were divine. I've never had one as good as that one. YUM!
- Church - I loved going to the singles ward! It was fun to run into people I haven't seen in a long time. I didn't imagine I'd see anyone except Erica that I knew, but I was wrong! I saw Vanessa, who used to be in my ward in Cedar. I also saw Patrick who dated Caity, a girl in my relief society and a dear friend. And my friend Jacob came up from Duchesne who I was in SUUSA with.
- Talking with Erica into the wee hours of the night on friday. We needed a good catch up, so we just talked and talked and talked and talked.
- Bacon - Erica's family has the best bacon. Seriously. And I know my bacon.
